So let me get this straight, NYS has put Regulations on Farms to when they can spread Manure ! Is that what you are saying Claudia ? Back when we had our Farm you could spread anytime you felt like it and could spread it 24/7. I guess times have changed for the worse since I left in 1984, I do miss the farm. Would not want to play that with Restriction. thanks for sharing your video, enjoyed it.

the constant unrestricted spreading of manure, slurry, and chemical fertilizer year round for decades is the reason the world's oceans and waterways are oversaturated with nitrogen and ammonia. In Europe we've had strict regulations for how and when it can be spread for the past 20-30 years specifically so it only goes on/in the ground when the plants are able to absorb it, and so there's less risk of it getting washed into lakes and waterways. It's hardly made things worse when it stops you from wasting resources by driving it out on the field when it can't do any good

if you spread sand onto the fields, whether it contains manure or not, aren't you gradually lowering the soil quality? Since presumably it's not possible to recover the sand and put it back in the stable. Never heard of using sand for bedding around here. Straw, sawdust, reconstituted slurry, shredded paper, and a few other things, but never sand.

I was in Thailand & went to a open market where you could buy anything from a monkey , to designer clothing.. Only problem is the "name brand" clothing were knockoffs . Obviously stealing trademarks & selling them for about 5% of what they cost in the U.S. Actually , there was another problem... If you wear an XL or XXL you will Not find clothing that'll fit you.. Thai men are as a rule small . So an XXXL t-shirt there is a medium here in the states...lol

at one time farmers had skunks as pets on farm, then the cat moved in, and it does nothing to help the farm when a skunk will fertilize it and where there is sulfur things will grow even H2O and skunk has sulfur in gas like mother earth
