@Nyhmnin Pendulum player here and @22.10 you should just note that jackal removes spell counters from the field. so you could have summoned both the servant and the MIghty master from the deck. (servants puts 1 counter on himself and 1 counter on the might master on summon.) And then if he revealed Nibiru you could use jackal by removing the 2 counters from Servant and Mighty Master. Not sure if this would have helped in game but just a tip :) Edit: If he holds Nibiru now till you link away servant, you now officially have a clear scale zone so you could just activate a dead scale in hand and get 2 counters on jackal that way :)

You might not read this but running 1-3 Quick Launch, 1 Rokket Tracer, 1 Silverrokket Dragon and 1 Rokket Synchron would actually allow you to use the Guardragon Combo with Triple Burst, Pisty, Agarpain and Quadborrel Dragon. Either Pend Summon Tracer or use Quick Launch. Probably better than quite a few cards in your Deck.

Triple Burst is actually a pretty good card. Being able to negate Avermax when he tries his "increase attack" ability makes him easy to run over with Borrelsword. Bet my Sky Striker opponent regretted recovering him for me.

Hey, look at potentially running a small rokket engine. (1 router, tracer, silver, 3 Quick Launch). Helps with guardragon plays and if you end up pulling a Savage dragon, it makes it easily.

It doesn't add anything for the deck. If you can make electrumite and resolve it you can 99% of the time do guardragon combo anyway. Running a rokket engine just clogs your hand and gets you electrumite less consistent

Jackal King removes 2 counters from your field, not necessarily itself, so when Servant gave itself and Master a counter each those would be enough for a Jackal King negate without needing to resolve Oracle

Fans or friends can just ruin the series by trading him what he needs if he allows it. The card shop could be over-generous in store credit. Trading and buying singles makes it easy. That goes against the point of this series.

I'm loving this series! I recently decided to try Yu-Gi-Oh again after not playing since Breaker was the best card. Could you do an explanation of the deck for noobs like me? Stuff like how the engines work or why/what you'd play vs common matchups.

pendulum sort of just vomits out a huge combo going 1st using engines that all put negate monstes out from single combo pieces & wins with multiple negations, just look up some combo videos if you wannt to learn it, it's better at that than other decks because it's more resilient to hand traps & board breaking staples, as well as it's end board being ott, it's lack of flexbility(struggles going second) & the exploitable weakesses for being a pendulum deck (big vulnerability to summon negation & spell stun/destruction traps) cause it to underperform what might be expected from a deck with such a high ceiling.

coming back into the game from classic yugioh I'd rather recommend the Sky Striker deck, it utilizes a spell toolbox & is vey adaptable & versatile, being able to be fine tuned to a changing metagame as you improve yourself & being able to go 1st/second, on top of that it by & large does not use combo play, using single very resilient small monsters to interact with it's spell toolbox making it easier to pick up on the monster side for a returnng player, it's weakness is losing to floodgates which prevent searching & spell stun effects, but it has more flexibility in being able to run counters to cover those weaknesses. Another option may be True Draco, a deck which largely utilizes draw spells and floodgate traps, it s considered the most basic competitve deck to play, it uses around 2000-2500 tribute summons that can use continuous spells & traps as tributes, & also has spell & traps that give you additional tribute summons. Lastly Subterror Control might be nice to play, it is the only competitive deck which utilizes the Flip mechanic, havng spells & traps which speed up that mechanic, it is a hand trap control deck, using monster effects from hand to control the opponent, it is a very nice deck to play as an older player but the most expensive due to 2 new cards that aren't expected to get reprints till late next year, Pot of Extravagance & Phantastical Dragon Phamtazmei(the community calls it Thanos Dragon). Some say it has bad match ups Vs Sky Striker & True Draco but both match ups are winnable, it's biggest weakness is probably being overall lower power than the decks it tries to beat through control, & not opening ideal hands with a high rate of cosistency, it overcomes that through stall/control & having a strong core engine which can go live off of a topdeck. If you just want to play the best deck that would be Orcust, though some say Sky Striker is better, it is by far the most versatile deck, having dozens of variations, & as such can play control/combo/1st/2nd, as a combo deck it is like Pendulum resilient to counter play against combo decks, it's weaknesses are being vulnerable to graveyard effect stun & banish prevention effects. KZbin is a great way to find recent topping decklists to try out, seaching deck name + top or 1st/2nd, for practicing them/seeing what you like before spending money Duelingbook is the best manual sim, it is a web browser based yugioh simulator, it requires Flash to be enabled until such time as it is updated to run without it(unknown), for automated simulators Dueling Nexus is another browser based sim, but the more popular one is ygopro percy, found on the ygo percy discord for download. If you aren't too concerned with getting into the current format/playing with real cards & have a nintendo switch Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist : Link Evolution just came out, it is designed to help new & returning players get into the game, it's cardpool is about a year old but the best decks in it are Sky Stiker & Thunder Dragon, both still top performing decks, it contains no micro transactions at the current time, though there may be DLC for it in future, Sky Striker should always be able to keep up with DLC decks if aquired in play, it actually gets better due to match ups vs more recent decks being positive compared to having a bad match up with the Thunder Dragon fusion deck(that deck is very much like old Chaos but with a more turbo element, you can play BLSeotb in it & Thunder Dragons are core cards, it also has a search stun boss monster so the positive Striker match up, it has similar weaknesses to orcust + a weakness to search stun effects/it often loses to who goes 1st in mirror matches unless it runs link combo support). The game also features draft formats which matches classic yugioh quite well. If purchasing hard copies are best, as they come with promo cards which have decent value to them.

To me, yugioh structure decks are just a giant booster pack with a lot of other stuff, I mean, they mostly only give 1 of each cards. Compared to vanguard or buddyfight, they give an actually deck with good balance and can be easily played while yugioh is harder to play out of the deck if we only buy 1

So 3 things. 1st I think if you pull stuff that you dont need or want for later decks, you should be able to sell it and add it back to the budget so you gonna be able to open more product (maybe at a limit per episode so it doesnt go to fast?) but like that you could be more happy with good pulls that dont help the deck directly. 2nd idk if I am tripping but shouldnt you have 3 ghost ogres, bc you pulled one from the premium gold? 3rd rlly cool series. I recommend changing the side deck a bit, there's a certain handtrap that's very powerful in the current format that I know you have 2 of. It's surely better than heavy storm duster and breakthrough skill. Please side Wattkinetic Puppeteer, it's denko vs Striker, it stops rank 4 and gazelle addback against Salad, and it stops guardragon combo.

Why would be counting against the rules? If im the player that want to go combo i can count even loud, but if the oponnent has nibiru and counts ether as bluff or to activate it,i dont see anything wrong. You can set 5 spells pass turn and bluff you have something and thinking about activating
