Totally agree with the take on Vince. Good to let the bad blood be gone, welcome him back, have a tribute for him, great. But retire his jersey? That's such a desperate move by a young franchise. So he won a dunk contest, so what? The only reason Vince is going along with this is that he didn't accomplish anything else of note. Championships? Nope. He didn't know he had it as good as he did, and little did he realize his career wouldn't get any better. The grass wasn't greener on the other side after all. It drives me absolutely insane that the leafs can't score in the playoffs yet everyone moves depth players like jarnkrok who is at best a third liner up the roster and wanting to send Easton Cowen down or not put Robertson on one of the first two lines. Al this talk about defensive breakdown when the problem has always been historically not enough goals in the playoffs. Robertson playing 8 min a night isn't gonna get us over the hump, nore sending down Easton Cowen... Just wasting Matthews best years over and over again.
