This is a fine presentation which I can appreciate from both Scots and Irish music perspectives. Just after leaving P/M of a US grade 4 pipe band I fell in with Irish trad players who soon adopted the band name "Innisheer" (I think the misspelling was mine) after this tune which was our first. I was starting uilleann pipes then, and now make them for a living. If I were still playing Scottish pipe bands I'd love to play this arrangement. Thanks for sharing.

It really is, isn't it ? Have you also watched clip (3) of the concert - "Lullaby" which was composed by the band's director, Alisdair McLaren. I must have played the clip over a hundred times to try to write it down and learn it !

No I haven't Bob but I will check it out. Thanks. I have this tune on a CD performed on the Uillean pipes.I first heard it on the GHB when played by Spirit of Scotland and I felt very underwhelmed by it. This version I really could listen to all day.Perhaps it is the slower tempo that makes it sound more heartfelt and less mechanical than when I previously heard a pipe band perform it.
