Andy Sipowicz was real and raw. With a depth of what is right and wrong that no one can compare. He was incredible I watched all the seasons and was amazed of Andy’s transitions. He was real. No one writes like this and probably never will. This is classic and we don’t have classic writers or directors here now. I am so glad I was a part of a NYPD Blue fan. If anyone watches this today will be amazed and glued to everything all these great actors worked hard for to make this the BEST NYC show in the world. You can learn a lot from them and from Andy Sipowicz. The Best!
@alvexok5523 Жыл бұрын
Yeah. Andy wasn't just an excellent detective, he was tough as nails, he avoided corruption and tried to be as fair as possible and only really leaned on the people who he knew were heartless violent criminals. And for the couple of instances where he accidentally leaned on the wrong person who was actually innocent, he always felt bad afterwards and apologized to them. And on top of that, it wasn't just the world of law he understood, he also had a great understanding on how things worked on the streets and the rules they played by. He knew that that guy ratting out the perpetrators meant that they would then immediately shoot him down, and therefore right away offered him witness relocation protection. Andy's one of the best TV show cops ever.

@ConcertSeason23 Жыл бұрын
@@la73sh19 it didnt start out well because David Milch was a genius and created the method to replace beloved characters. The writers for the most are still around but there is less inclination from producers and production companies to support shows that tread fresh ground. Blue Bloods is safe TV and attracts an audience accordingly. It is sad.
@thejanusproject323 жыл бұрын
The people at Blue Bloods are trying, really, they are. But they are trying to tell stories that fit the time, now, in this century and at this climate. JUST like NYPD Blue did back in the day. It's not easy, and they have to go through tropes and talk about stuff that is procedural and relates to people. That's the restraints they are bound by when its about Cop drama and etc. IMO anyway.

@@thejanusproject32 Plus NYPD Blue and Law and Order were representative of New York City at the time and which the city had a very gritty feel which doesn’t exist in today’s NYC. That’s another reasons why Blue Bloods can’t match that feel of either two shows or even New York Undercover.
