The actor Charles Levin... met a very sad end. He was the mohel in that great Seinfeld episode 'The Bris.'

To me it seems like this Prosecutor is becoming personally involved in this case...as if he is trying to right a wrong or fix a vendetta of sorts. I get that he has to push a few boundaries in cross examination and re-direct questioning...but he appears to have become more than a District Attorney...to me he comes across as if he has a stake in what happens. Intense scene to be sure! Cheers From Ohio

Abrams was written as largely focused on his political career, and had also become something of an enemy of John Kelly, (along with Captain Haverill). He was last seen at the start of Season 3 when he manages to anger the squad by making a deal with a perp who was an accessory in an incident where James was shot. Bobby managed to leak the deal to the press, forcing Abrams to back down. Apart from a brief mention in season 3 (where Andy suggests Leo Cohen is in Abrams' pocket), Abrams is never seen or heard from again.

but nevertheless the line of cross he did was classic, and part of his job. doing less would be dereliction of his duty
