I mean most dudes are gonna get uncomfortable when surprising backed into a corner. But yea the added, straight, not straight dynamic definitely gets a snicker and a smile. I sorta had to deal with that when I was figuring out I was bi. It can get awkward.

Interesting that even very early in John's tenure, he went to Sipowicz with this, rather than Kirkendall or someone else.

Anybody else notice how badass the music introducing the scene is?
@slyguythreeonetwonine31728 ай бұрын
Of all my favorite things about NYPD Blue, of which there are too many to number, the music is easily top 5! I don't know what that is that makes that sound, especially prominent in the theme, but Holy Hell does it make my hair stand at attention!

I know my biggest fear is a gay guy looking to be comforted in a men’s room after providing critical information in a homicide. And I’m not a cop.

Hill Street Blues then NYPD Blue both raw, in your face, mind-blowing writing, acting, story lines, heartbreaking, soul searching TV. The Wire came close too.

Can you include clips of the conversation right after this where Andy tells Fancy what John told him, and the clip of the ending of this episode with Donna Abondondo coming back? The clip with the music always gets me a little emotional

Such a compelling and worthwhile TV drama. A show, so good, that it could be measured right alongside a great film. It's was not like the woke garbage we have to endure today. These current shows are about religion, sexuality and social issues. Things that no one but the show runners care about! In this scene, Detective Sipowicz is dealing with a gay man whose sexuality has nothing to do with the scene. And, we don't have John's sexuality jammed down our throats as part of some TV producer's woke agenda. I really hate the current state of television. All my viewing today comes in the form of free TV. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is worth paying for! This was truly the last great TV show of all time!

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's the ability to overcome it. And John proved repeatedly that he had plenty of courage.
