0:40 when Andy says "I don't know nothin about nothin" and his lip quivers, it's a level of acting seldom seen in film or television. Bravo Mr Franz.

Can we all just acknowledge how great the acting is here?? I mean Andy is dealing with Bobby and the guilt of being a bad husband and father to Katie and Andy Jr. Man he is just laying it out there, with his guilt and shame, "...All them years keeping care of Andy Jr, before him, me, takes her pension at the phone company...no one left to look after....all I didn't do for her." And then when he said he thought he would never make a new friend.... Wow that is some heavy stuff. And Sylvia...she understands what he's going thru. She sees and understands how he struggles to be a better man. That look there at the end she gives him...she's sad, but she also feels a lot of pride and love for him. She understood that it would help Andy to help Katie. I hope we all have someone like Sylvia in our lives. Fantastic clips, all of them. Thank you again my friend, thanks again.

It wasn't that deep down. He had his flaws - especially in the past - but he was very clearly an extremely good person who cared deeply about the people around him and did everything he could to help them.

When Andy says, "He told me in his eyes" is when Sylvia completely acknowledged that Bobby was going to die and there was no hope. The acting in this series was unmatched by any other TV show ever.

Anyone else notice how much noisier the background talking or is it just me? Everyone in the squad is quiet or slightly above a whisper so you hear everything else. For some reason when you’re sad you talk lower. Never understood why. Is it a social thing or some natural subconscious reaction to being sad?

I could not catch all of it. So Katie, Andy's ex, lost her pension because of a DUI, and now she's penniless, no money..did I get that right, because of a dui?

Katie used her pension to raise Andy Jr. because Andy Sr. was an active alcoholic and never helped her raise his son financially or by being there for them.
@charlessedlacek57542 жыл бұрын
@@RisingTidesAC thank you for that. She had a pension, used it all up to raise andy jr and now she is broke. Maybe I am alone in this but for sipowicz his "redemption" is too little too late. @@RisingTidesAC please...cute sayings and half assed wisdom cannot repair what he did to his ex wife. He ruined that relationship in her youth, destroyed her Hopes and ambitions in her youth AND middle age, having to raise THEIR son by HERSELF, and winding up destitute. In all my years of watching the show I never saw a guy like sipowicz get so many breaks that he DID NOT DESERVE. His ex wife lived a long, hard road thanks to this guy and now has nothing. There is a thing called accountability, and sipowicz has yet to earn the breaks that so many people have given this guy in his life. And sylvia, with this guy? My god, as a 62 year old man I will never understand what a decent woman like her is doing mixed up with a dumpster fire like sipowicz.
@SciTrekMan Жыл бұрын
No, she didn’t loose her pension. She took her pension and retired from the phone company. Without Andy and Andy, Jr. to look after, and no job she has to go to, she lost her “reason for being”, thus turned to alcohol to ease her pain of having no one left in her life to “look after”.
