You know what made Andy so formidable? He wasn't built, or some martial artist. He was an out of shape, late middle aged guy that was basically a human version of a honey badger. He just didn't give a shit. Basically a guy that proved all that matters, is how much mean you got in you, and how far your willing to go.

Most people especially suburban pale skins have been in a fight or two in their lives. Maybe they've even taken some sort of class or combat training. However, fighting for your life against someone that is actually trying to kill you is way different then a bar scrap or school scrap that is quickly broken up. Andy through work and Vietnam has fought people trying to kill him, he knows he can go there. This adds a massive amount of ass to a ordinary person. Andy is at home in the pocket, most people want may front, but they've never been there.
@ZeyphodZeyphod3 жыл бұрын
Well...it helps if you are a cop and the other guy knows he really can't fight back much; if he does not only will the other cops jump in and beat his azz, they will then charge him with assaulting a police officer. You got no right of "self-defense" against the police even if they started it. I believe there was one episode when Andy was moon-lighting in a bar as a bouncer/security guard and a fight broke out. Andy tried to interfere and was dropped to the floor like a 200lb sack of potatoes by another man who obviously didn't know he was a cop. No doubt he could have worked over that same guy at the station and it would have been a different story.
