The requirements of a NYPD officer at minimum should be at least 5ft9 tall no female officer should be allowed to work the beat and be subjected to office work only A NYPD officer must have a minimum IQ of 100 in ordered to be considered for the job. His uniform must be worn with strict compliance. No earrings or nose rings would be allowed. No visible tattoos as well. His appearance must also be in compliance. No facial hair unless its neatly trimmed
