250 workdays a year*$9/day*5 years = $11,250 over 5 years. A lot of money to be sure, but a far cry from your 30k. Even going every single day would only get you to $16,425 over 5 years.
@jasonaraujo199515 күн бұрын
@altriish6683 Neither number is correct because the toll goes up to $12 for passenger cars in 2028. So based on your equation here for the 250 workdays, it would actually be $12,750 for 5 years. Going every day for 5 years would be $18,615. Keep in mind that the toll amount is different for the type of vehicle too. So theoretically, it can reach $30K if it's a small or large bus or truck over 5 years.

@XRPBull4Life8 күн бұрын
The point is not that the toll is less than a ticket. The point is that it is not right to charge people to go into a city that they work in. $9per day X 5 day work week is $45. That’s ridiculous, they already steal your money with insanely high taxes. The cost of food everywhere is outrageous and New York prices were bonkers already, I went there in 2004 and it was like $10 for just a Big Mac (not a meal) when it was $5 everywhere else. Protest, cut those traffic cameras down. Have a group of like 15 people and each person do less than a $1,000 in damage each. That’s how much you’re allowed to steal from shops right? So each person take that value and attribute that too the cameras and post. Mr. Government won’t like it. But then the question becomes why is it legal to steal under 1k from a store but not from the government? The only answer to that it’s that the government believes it is super human (artificial person status) and that a normal human isn’t worth anything other than being tax cattle. Fight the Powers that be, turn the tables, make government bend the knee the way it’s supposed to be. This is the reason the constitution was written, we live under tyranny. This bullshit needs to end.

Imagine if they cracked down on subway fare evasion. Then they wouldn't have to beg drivers to pay for their project.

It's about time for the police to stop all those who cover or erase license plates, many do not respect traffic signs and take advantage of them.

For 2 years I drove around with CA plates (DEQ sticker “slightly” damaged)in NYC. Bought car from a friend who moved out of usa, and shortly after his apt complex in San Diego was demolished. Swapped plates to new state after 2.5 years. No tolls ever!

Insane how the MTA with its inflated budget claims to need “congestion pricing” and that it will change anything for the better with their time proven incompetence and mismanagement.
