One of most frustrating wins. Rangers got out worked and out shot but they had enough talent to pull out a win. Team defense and puck security needs to be emphasized down the stretch.

missing lindgren, troubs and gus so there was a massive change of defensive scenery which oughta be hard to adjust to in practically one game- ESPECIALLY against the team with most breakaways in the league. not fazed by it tbh. LGR

@beatlesfan925 But the worst defensive failings were not on defensemen. They were on the forwards. Missing guys is not an excuse for not showing up until 5 minutes left in the second period. It's not an excuse to lose puck battles and not forecheck. Even Laviolette said that he didn't think they brought their best game tonight.

@@Desert-Fatheryou can’t be serious saying that missing half of you starting d men didn’t have an effect because you happened to notice foward defensive lapses but how can you be sure the lapses were the result of missing your top d men at the end of the day first team to 100pts first team to clinch best record in hockey don’t focus more on the negative than the positive after the win

@lundqvist1092 How can I be sure that the fault for poor defense that allowed the Flyers to score 5 goals wasn't mostly the fault of the defensemen? Because I watch the game. I saw forwards not forechecking, backchecking, or clogging the zone for most of the game. They didn't win board battles, and they were out skated. Jones didn't have a good night, but the rest of the defensemen were ok. I'm also not more concerned with the bottom three defensemen last night because they won't have a lot of minutes, if any, in the playoffs. Whereas, the 12/13 forwards will likely play every game in the playoffs. We've known for months that the Rangers were likely making the playoffs. But I'm not interested in merely a playoff appearance and another first round exit. You can get away with not showing for over half the game and letting the opposing team hang five on you against the lowly Flyers who are barely a playoff team, but you can't do that in the playoffs. Championship teams don't accept mediocre play. They fix it. To his credit, Laviolette wasn't happy with their play last night either, and he said so during the postgame.

Miller is the Worst at turning the puck over, but Miccheletti never mentions it and instead Raves about him. I get so sick of listening to Joe not educating me, but just constantly complimenting the opposing team. Valley should sit down with him and help him, he's Horrible!

These games happen. Rangers just finished off a 9 games stretch in 15 days going 7-2 including huge wins vs Carolina Boston and Florida. Way to loose last night though but they still got the 2 points.

Congrats coach! Crazy game , glad we came out on top. Flyers are gonna be a real pain in the ass to play against in the playoffs, they don’t quit. Rangers didn’t quit tonight either, Laffy played a hell of a game, as did Troch & Zib! LGR!!

Dude, they’re missing 3 of their starting D, 2 of which are physical and clear the front of the net. In a 6-5 game you think Rempe is the difference maker? Every game can’t be perfect. I like Rempe, but be serious. He’s not getting ice time in a 6-5 game.

I'm starting to be disgusted with Lavi for following the cowardly NHL and he's squashed the Rempe story. It's like the NHL wants to suffer the same fate as baseball and pass away slowly. Gonna happen muchhhh faster with burying physicicality and fighting in hockey.
