Monday SU-99?
@LibertyRailfan2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching RailfanShluffy greetings from along the NYSW.. Yes it ran Monday, July 1, basically whenever the 100 comes down the day/night before then the 99 will go up, always keep an eye on the Facebook groups..

@@LibertyRailfan yeah, I think the 100 went down last night so it may run again today on a Wednesday. Just find it odd for it to be running Monday and now today possibly Wednesday

@@ShluffyMonster the 99 just cleared Hackensack.. The SU 99 & 100 was always a Three day a week schedule.. When freight traffic diminished they went to something like Mondays and Thursdays.. The original schedule was Sunday 100, Monday 99, Tuesday 100, Wednesday 99, Thursday 100, Friday 99... That was before all this rescheduling before covid crap and PSR stuff...

Good chase Adam! Some interesting spots too, especially the Rt 23 overpass over the Pequannock River. I know where that is although it's been a while. The river looks low, it there a drought up there ? Anyway, off to the Metro-North video!

Thank you for watching Wayne greetings from along the NYSW... Cool yeah some things change while others don't, it's been a while for you but you know right where everything is at. No there is no drought right now but we have been getting good rain storms but nothing creating flood conditions at the moment, so I think a lot of the water for the Pequannock river is controlled by dams upstream there isn't a need to release too much water into the river but rather keep it in the reservoirs right now.

According to the northeast drought monitor ... the conditions in northern New Jersey are "abnormally dry." Not quite a drought yet, but definitely dry.

@@markkilgore938 We just had 3 good storms 3 days in a row right now July 4th right after the fireworks right where I currently live in Kearny it rained well, yesterday thunderstorms passed through, and now early this morning more storms... Wonder if they will add the dry, everything in northern Jersey that I have seen is pretty green nothing brown yet indicating a lack of rain...

@@markkilgore938 well the Midland Park station was is where the TD bank is now. Which is 100% within the town of Wyckoff. More than half the railroad crossing is in the town of Wyckoff.
@markkilgore9382 ай бұрын
@@LibertyRailfan The Midland Park station was directly across the track from Kuiken Brothers. No matter what town it was in ... the station sign said "Midland Park". Get it? As an aside ... are you aware that the Goffle Road crossing was equipped with crossing gates through 1978. The present signals along with the traffic lights were installed in 1988. In the intervening approximate 10 years ... Goffle Road was flagged.

@@markkilgore938 ohh ok so the name of a train station changes township names / government jurisdictions? Just like I currently live close to the Arlington station along the Greenwood Lake/NJT Boonton Line. There is a section of Kearny NJ called Arlington which the station was in hence the name, but fact is fact it is still technically in the town of Kearny, not the town of Arlington. Station names don't always dictate what a town's government jurisdictions are.
