Such an adorable little koala guest host today. I got connections today (I think with one error) but did not know the connection for blue or purple (thought blue might be something music or sound-based but didn't know)

Ambient is a particularly important music genre due to having been named by someone who appears frequently in crosswords. (Brian ENO released an album "Ambient 1: Music for Airports", intending it to be music that doesn't demand people's attention while making the sound of an environment more pleasant. The name took off and expanded to include things you might dance to with some other characteristics in common.)

Connections was tricky to get started for me, but once I did the rest of the groups just fell into place, and no mistakes on it - I reversed yellow and blue from you but otherwise the same order and largely the same way of finding them. I was a bit slower on the mini crossword but wouldn't say I struggled with it, and found strands a bit harder than you seemed to.

OMG, Lilly is so cute! Perfect Connections! I got it too (luckily, I don't know Addams family so I missed the red herring). The purples were my leftovers too. Good Mini. My time was 1:27. Frustrating Strands. After seeing the words in top corners, I started with the spangram but I eventually made exactly one mistake: I tried CORK. I ought to know state capitals better than that.

Yeah, Connections was easy today. I also saw the EDM genres pretty quick, but I entered purple first because I also saw that. The only use I could think of for Wednesday was Ash Wednesday and then I figured it has to be Ash Blond. I would have had the reverse rainbow, as I thought the yellow category should have been green. I thought everybody in grade school learned the definition of a noun. I learned it as "Person, Place, Thing or Feeling" but IDEA was close enough. As for yellow I thought these were what a ship does on rough seas, in addition to list. So, close enough I think. I would have predicted 2.8 at the Connections Companions. My guess pattern (purple, light blue, yellow and green) was 1 in 570 I'm a bit surprised the Connections Bot gave this a 4/5 when 34% scored the perfect solve. I guess it's because the overall solve rate was 62%.. Still, those parameters suggest a 3/5 (average difficulty). Thank you for remembering +2 to blue this time.

Strands was easy. I saw League and then noticed the Spanagram and thought, if this was Connections, it would be "Little ______". It was a bit tricky to find all the short words but it didn't take long, really. Only word I entered that didn't take was PIPER. It was obvious part of the word DIPPER.

I breezed through STradns and Connections but Mini Crossword was a complete car crash for me.
