@dylanwatt7461
@dylanwatt7461 Ай бұрын
@@KingK2205 both those are blanket excuses for not looking at the candidate with an attempt to garner any infortmation. Biden is clearly no longer fit to serve, but his administration and presidency is highly rated by historians for his effective response to covid, and his fiscal policy (which, despite MAGA protestations, is the best in the world post-covid as far as inflation and recovery) has been tremendous. The Biden administration is also significantly less partisan than that of any president since Clinton. As for Kamala, she is perhaps not as diplomatic as say, Obama or Clinton, but to call her a laughing stock is absurd. She has legitimate qualifications to be the president and has a decades-long reputation as being a socially-liberal moderate who is not afraid to crack down on crime. Despite MAGA outrage at the idea of Trump not winning, out of all three candidates, he is clearly least capable of running the country. If you can give me a genuine example, with non-refutable evidence, of policy failings by Kamala and Biden's adminstration, and explain how a Trump administration would better serve the interest of the common american, I'm all for a healthy discourse in which maybe I learn something.
@jimreily7538
@jimreily7538 Ай бұрын
@@KingK2205Not anymore, lol. Trump looked angry, aggressive and unhinged. His eyes wide, spittle flying, humourless and very unpleasant. He came across to average independents as an unpleasant. She mopped the floor with the scalp-surgery hair he had installed back in the 80s, when he was just destroying casinos. At least he left them after he was done. He refused to concede, last time. He was almost pulled out by the Marines. People were discussing that as a literal possibility. If he, and his extreme right boosters gain power this time, they'll never let go. The United States was founded on the notion that no one man can ever rule as a king - and yet Trump supporters actually want to install him as a king. He thinks "strongman" is a term of endearment. He mentioned Hungarian dictator Victor Orban as a "strongman" as though that's a good thing! One day, and it's coming soon, he'll be gone. You and those like you will return to reality and support Republicans with actual principles, not just people who SAY whatever they feel will make you happy but in reality, despise you. We'll restart a time where both parties and their constituents are considered loyal. Just normal people who disagree on politics but can get along just fine, and agree on, or put aside many other issues. That day, will be a good day. For the stability of the nation, and the world.

The Times has done a terrible disservice by trying to cram bits and pieces of 4 different debates mistakes into one 5 minute video, as many portions of context have been left behind. For example, what specifically led to President Reagan making the age joke in the follow-up debate with Mondale in 1984--his flubs in the first debate aren't referenced at all. Also, the 1992 exchange between George Bush, Bill Clinton, and the town hall guest is missing 1) the full question from the town hall guest; and 2) Bush's flubbed response and body motions--like looking at his watch and how he explains he doesn't understand the question. Full clips for each of these mistakes are available elsewhere on YT, and I encourage folks to find them and view them.

Huh, the vice presidential debate will always be remembered for Dan Quayle's comparing himself to JFK and getting it handed back to him. Quayle may have lost this exchange, but he scored enough points for Bush spending most of the debate criticizing Dukakis instead of challenging Benson head-on. Benson never tried to defend Dukakis - instead he tried to challenge Quayle. It's like one opponent focusing on knocking out the queen, he forgets to defend the king and gets checkmated.

Trump's schoolyard bully tactics worked on his Republican rivals because they were unprepared and responded with fumbling, and later with the same childish jabs ("small hands"). Right , so trump with his exaggerated comments didn’t hurt his campaign but all the others did. Seems like times s looking hard for excuses for failure in all the wrong directions
