Khidr Joseph’s "In Loving Memory" explores the generational impact of the experiences of his grandfather, Jerome Cleveland Hilton, in the Vietnam War and with PTSD, addiction, and incarceration. Through the staged tableaux, the past is documented and the future is explored. At once painful and complicated, the images offer a version of history meant to redeem the individual, heal the family, and offer possibilities to the survivors.

The Gallery works to expand the dialogue of ideas with the shows it hosts and invites students, faculty, and the broader public to see the space as a site of exploration of ideas, practices, and creative forms.
