안녕하세요... 두바이에서 유학중이고 NYUAD를 꿈꾸는 ( 네 꿈꾸는 입니다.... ) 한국인 1입니다. 댓글이 다 영어 밖에 없네요. 혹시라도 영어를 원하시면 지우고 다시 쓰도록 하겠습니다. 들어가기에 앞서서, 한상 동영상 잘 보고 있습니다. 솔직히 NYUAD 명성은 높지만 정보가 별로 없는데 사막에 오아시스 같은 느낌이랄까요? 네 본론으로 들어가서, 이게 FOS가 그니까 단순히 한 곳에 치우쳐진 사람이 아니라 다양한 과학 방면에 골고루 배우는 그런 versatile 한 인재상을 요구하는 것인가요? 문제는 제가 화학,물리는 하는데 생물은 해본 적이 없어서요... 밑에 댓글 보니까 지원에 방해되는 점은 없을 것이라고 답변하셨는데, 어플리케이션에 그 동안 화학,물리만 공부하다가 이번 코로나로 생물학에 대한 관심이 늘었습니다. 뭐 그래서 FOS가 있는 NYUAD 가 좋은 선택이 되는 이유 중 하나라고 생각합니다 이러면 대학에서 "어? 이 자식은 우리 학교에서 배울 준비가 덜 되있잖아? 이러면서 떨굴까요?" 확진자가 계속 1000명 이상 나오고 있는 이런 어려운 시기에 몸 조심하시고요 그럼 이만 마치겠습니다.

안녕하세요!! 저는 한국어 댓글에 항상 목말라하고있습니다..ㅎㅎ..ㅎ..감사해요!! 일단 준비가 안된것은 크게 문제가 되지 않을거에요! 학교가 입학절차에서 과학 시험을 따로 보지도 않아서 학생의 과학 지식량이 얼마인지도 측정할 수도 없으며, 처음에 급을 나는 시험도 수학 하나 이기 때문에 크게 걱정 안하셔도 돼요!! 그리고 학교 학생들 중 계속 생물하다가 와서 대학교 와서 생물 시험은 A를 받고 물리 시험은 fail 하는 친구들도 있어요! Versatile 한 학생을 찾는게 아니라 학교 와서 그렇게 학생을 만들고 싶어하는것 같아요!

Yes you can! You just have to take more courses than others!!

When do you take the math test? Is it given in the first semester of the freshmen year? Also, does the CS major take 4 years or 6 years of FOS ?

Hey Maggie. I want to study marine science as my major. Does NYUAD offer that course? If so, do I still need physics, chemistry, biology and math?

Salma Al ali it's basically subjects that you have to take (like maths, physics and such) when you're a science/ engineering major. You'll have to take at least two each semester until you finish them all

In NYUAD Psychology is not ! so Psych majors do not have to do FOS!
