For some reason watching this video gave me this ache. A longing to be with friends on a trip, a longing to be an adult, a longing to understand myself. Right now I’m going through a very sudden realization that I’m not a girl. The realization happened last October (when watching R’s video about his gender) and ever since then I’ve been trying to figure out who the fuck I am. I really have no idea why but this video brought that all into the front of my mind and I can’t help but be exhausted. I’m so tired of being seen as a girl. Why can’t I wear a dress as someone other than a girl. Why can’t I wear makeup without everyone seeing me as a girl. I hate this society. I want to be me and be seen the way I want to.

It gets better, I promise you. That first realization that you're not your agab is the hardest time. As you sit with it longer, and start trying on labels and pronouns and everything else, you will become more comfortable. I'm not all that much further along on this journey than you, but I'm already so so much more comfortable in my gender than I was when I first started questioning. You will get there too. It takes time, but it really does get better. I wish you all the best, and I hope you're able to surround yourself with people who see you how you want to be seen and love you for who you are. 💗💗
