A lot of people that love symphonic metal know Anneke van Giersbergen. This year marks Anneke’s 25th anniversary as a recording artist. She was the lead singer for the Dutch band The Gathering, worked with Devin Townsend, Ayreon and many, many, more. Anneke was (and still is with her new band VUUR) unique as a ‘metal singer’. Devin and Anneke always sound amazing together.
