This is how society should treat drugs in general. You're never going to stop people from producing drugs. Even if there was a big brother government there'd still be guys mixing up drugs in bathrooms or wherever. Decriminalize them for over a certain age, idk, 25, and take the money and power away from the gangs and cartels which allow them to commit violence and murder on a war like scale. Drugs exist in the world. They're here and always will be. It's like a fundamental part of the universe that these chemicals exist. Just treat the symptoms around it and educate people to be wiser and provide better mental health. Or just let these sick people continue to shoot up stuff they honestly don't know what it is and was mixed in some bath tub and then cut with other worse shit to stretch it out further problem 3-4 times before reaching their hand

Yeah, that moment where it goes silent is more serious and realistic than any D.A.R.E ad or "scared straight" type of ad for this. @KaleidoPod8 жыл бұрын
So if you witnessed a rape you wouldn't stop it, because it's the responsibility if the rapist to stop? This line of reasoning is incredibly immature and self-absorbed. If you see someone at a party about to drive drunk they could: a.) kill themselves (if you're at a party with them they should be your friend, you should not want them to die/go to prison) b.) kill someone else (Which is worse. It could be anyone - your mom, wife, child, etc.) that did nothing wrong. Aside from that, think about it like this - what if some asshole hit you and paralyzed you for life, and you find out they had been Driving Drunk, and their friends could have tried to stop it and maybe you'd still be walking. Karma is a real bitch, just remember that.
@Under1The2Bridge38 жыл бұрын
SANPH you completely missed the point. it was about the implications of letting someone who is really drunk drive and the fact that if they die it could come back to literally haunt you. It was not about whether or not you're responsible for them. Though we could extrapolate that we have a responsibility to help people who we're close to, even if it's just for selfish reasons like fear of guilt

So ahead of it’s time and obviously a classic cos I haven’t seen it for probably over ten years and it still seems fresh and current. And still funny af even though when it was on the telly we all saw it a million times.

Pretty sure the song is a sample/slowed instrumental version of You're a Jerk by The New Boyz. Skip to 1:47 here: soundcloud . com/dj-chris-1/13-new-boyz-youre-a-jerk-instrumental

Thank you! But the link isn't working anymore, but this does: soundcloud.com/roqpir/new-boyz-youre-a-jerk Not sure if it's the same though, but this has a nice bass too!
THIS is effective marketing, this is something teens have remembered for ages.

This kid (Flavell-Hudson) played in Taika Waititi's "Boy". The main character (James Rolleston) in Boy was actually implicated in a very serious drink driving accident. I wonder if one had anything to do with the other.

It's 80 styles in New Zealand too, but fashion is constantly circulating, so big jumpers are cool again, and not just here, Australia, UK, even in the states - I'm pretty sure the 80's has had a come back in some way, shape or form, in most countries at the moment mate.

I wish Australia had amazing ads like this. I would actually want to watch TV.
@Haitchpeasauce8 жыл бұрын
Not to mention NZ TV shows are better than Australian ones. Kiwi shows keep things light, even their highway patrol and cop shows are more fun to watch. Aussie shows take themselves way too seriously, trying to push up the drama.

Shortland Street is cringey though :I My mother watched it for atleast 10 years.
