That metal sample needs to see the dealer. Whatvwe used to do is call the dealer in the area and invite them over to have a look. If it is spitting metal, its probably a warranty issue. The local dealer shop manager always appreciated hesring from an understanding mechanic rather than the Pissed off customer first. We'd get a visit from the shop manager and his best mechanic and work together to present the customer with a solution instead of a problem.

First I’d strict my interest to see that much metal based on mileage. So I’d pull up my technical bulletin information and check for recent recalls or questions. If nothing there, then based on my experience I would express my knowledge to the customer and ask for more time to point them in the right direction.

I would drain and refill run it for a thousand miles to 3000 miles then recheck it

A little wear is normal but sometimes don't look rite with so little milage, should look new for 30,000 40,000 rite? Warranty that shit! Something is wrong
