Kia ora, bro first time here. Started in bush in Kaingaroa as a 20yr old based in Murupara working for KlC. Supplying Tasman Pulp and Paper in Kawerau. A lot of old crop Radiata which our main species. Did some Douglas, Contorta and Ponderosa. Started on the axe trimming at felling face worked my way up to senior logger. Loved the life had some awesome friends and old skool teachers. Clear felling and road stripping were our crews main duties. Flat to rolling country Cat skidder, Cat and Komatsu tractors The old 30RB loader. Finished 1989 when Fletchers made everyone redundant. Bolstad and Honecks were our top crews back then. Love the videos just checking out the older ones. Nga mihi Allen.

Hi team from winter less Otago 😉 Just stumbled across your vids/Chanel tonight. Love it, love the saw action. I'm log trucking down here and hardly hear a chainsaw these days. Great vids Mattie, enjoy the whanau content too. Thanks for explaining shit mate, hauling logs is one thing, but getting them to the skid is a whole lot more!
