I'm a builder in Holland, I'm most impressed you pushed through the last months of 'almost finished' with such energy and actually saw it through to absolute completion whilst maintaining those quality levels in the garden and finishing, that takes grit. The feeling when the plastering gets done is always one of the greatest achievements, but usually less than half way to the end due to all the little details. Subscribed and looking forward to your next build!

That looks awesome and the tiered layers to make use of the sloped yard looks great too. The only thing I'm wondering about and would be concerned about is the water running down the road and into the driveway and straight into the garage. Maybe you addressed it in another video and it looks like you're not concerned since you were washing with a hose right on the driveway but I would be concerned during a heavy long rain that the garage would flood.

Great video. I know that down here in the south so many people including the council stay away for sloping sites due to the extra work and cost involved. Even though most of the town is built on hill sides. Great to see someone taking up the challenge. Personally I think it would be great if someone could come up with a range of designs to suite sloping sites (I know it's not that easy and there more to it) depending on soil and ground conditions and the slope. But given that so many houses are built on sloping sites and hill sides I personally think in my opinion that a range of standard plans could be a good idea

The reason most of our houses are built this way is a mixture between the resources we have and have always had (lots of trees) and being designed to withstand earthquakes, rigid with a bit of flex is good. These homes have no trouble in wind, been a few tornadoes in the south west and the worst it does is strips some of the roofing iron off.
