I was 15, they were the best band, my cousins and I use go to the Riv acutely they were the best band that never made it, I think it was because for some reason they let Terry Chapman go.

Mike Morris on lead vocals, great band I've still got their self titled album.Saw several times at the Hurstville Rivoli back in the mid sixties...great times.

Just for trivial pursuit, I bought a Raven Records reissue of an album featuring The Allusions, at the Hurstville Discontinued Record Store, in the late 80s. I wasn't around in the mid 60s, so until now I had no idea that they were so popular, in Hurstville anyway.

They were brilliant live and I learnt a lot just watching 'em. Bought my first Strat and Fender amp from Bruce, the then bass player. He went back to rhythm guitar when Mick left and Terry Chapman came back on bass. Bruce broke his arm and went to Europe for a while at least. This was when they were doing a regular stint at the Parramatta Lennox Hotel. A very unrecognised outfit, deserving of much greater success.
