That is indeed a nice lake. The set-up with F 230 reminds me of D 170 in Helensville.

1:21 I've been to that F Class! I believe it is in a park in Hamilton.

Yepp hamilton lake, I don't know if it's still there though, a few years ago it was very corroded, haven't been there since.

Say what you will about the J class streamlining, but 1211 is iconic because of it

Hey can you do a video where you go inside the k ka and kb class steam engines pls 😊
@S0M3GUY778 Жыл бұрын
I really don't know what to think of the J streamlining either, but like it or not, it's synonymous with 1211. I saw a post by mainline steam a few weeks back of 1211 without her streamlining and it felt wrong on a fundamental level

The NZGR D Class 0-4-0T just looks like a steam-propelled tender

the g class looks like a prr k4 (because it is)
@DC4260Productions Жыл бұрын
It's not a K4. They were actually built using the engine units from the failed Garratts, complete with AB boilers and tenders.

@@DC4260Productions On his older videos, his "obvious his lack of research" shows that he was new to making factual videos but as time went on, he at least researched hard to get some information right. Note: He's American and was new KZbin at that time

@@DC4260Productions I could be wrong but Fairlie type steam locomotives are not popular in the Untied States compared to the UK which is why very few were built and none survived into preservation So the fairlies were not a “fairly” ideal locomotives for the US

He also explained that he just doesn't like the coal fired versions of fairlies,he likes the oil fired ones because it maks more sense than essentially shoveling sideways since the boiler connects all the way through and the firebix doors are on the sides.@nathanchan4653
