The airflow version is good, this one falls under the same classic NZXT design problem of suffocating your PC. The top panel solution is good looking but awful for pushing air at essentially 90 degree angle lol

I've heard this argument about 90% of cases, including several I've bought over the years, and never once had an issue with suffocation or heard of any. It's like people think a marginally less thermally efficient design than the absolute peak thermally efficient cases is suffocation.

I never understand Lian Li case or any company copying them, it's too thick, u need a bigger desk. It hides the PSU in the back so u can't see it, rgb or not. The worst part, u have to shell out more money for the excessive amount of fans. Meanwhile air flow cases such as Phanteks create a vacuum with only 5 fans. One of the best temperature ever.

@@fynkozari9271 Lian li designs it for anyone to do anything in their case, specifically the o11 series cases. Phanteks has a very nice spinoff of the lian li case but also has no fans. Having it on the desk is more for eye candy than anything else and smaller versions are made in a similar way: no fans. While NZXT has a great version of their own, I personally do not like my airflow making sharp, uneeded turns instead of having guidance throughout this case. Also almost every case hides the psu

​@@fynkozari92711. The open look is only possible thanks to the power supply being in the back, and it's so nice. 2. Tons of fans look great and allow intricate water cooling setups. The O11D wasn't really designed for air cooling, you're meant to stuff it with radiators. 3. The O11D Evo XL has the removable front support.

I prefer Flow version to be honest since no one would even look at top glass and even more importantly you get better airflow. I just hope they release a smaller version, something to rival the 011 mini

The top needs to use the mesh from the flow. Because you can’t but fans up against glass and you eat up a bunch of space if you mount them on the inboard side of the radiator. (If you use a top mounted radiator.) So I bought both and made my own.

It is worth mentioning that the non elite has a mesh grille on top instead of glass with a sliver of mesh and grille, meaning that the non elite will have even better airflow, Plus I think it looks better considering you don't have to look at the top of a radiator, I mean yes you could do push pull but it's not really necessary

1st actually prevents you from mounting anything like a distroplate l, screen or something else on the front 2nd enough room for dust to travel through messing up your case through unfiltered holes & gaps

Agreee totally. I changed from Lian-li O11 to H5 flow, I think NZXT resolve issues that happened on pc cases better than Lian-Li, the solutions are also simpler but they still keep the cases are simple, clean and good airflow.

any case that’s surpassing the $200 price tag (or even lower) is overkill for any kind of computer imo. It is way too expensive for just some metal & glass bolted in together. I feel like there are very nice cases at $100 or slightly more. that price delta you get by settling for a cheaper case can get you a more feature-rich motherboard or some additional RAM, or even a slightly better CPU/GPU.

Still prefer the overall look of the O11 I have the XL version specifically. The H9 also costs a lot more in my area so it's not like the included fans are offering any value over the O11. Only thing I like about the H9 is the full mesh back panel.

Not really. There are 6 fans for intake and only 4 fans for exhaust. This creates positive pressure inside the case so nothing is getting sucked into those gaps. That's good because dust won't get into the computer through the random gaps and holes.

The rectangular design is more utilitarian, the side glass is disgusting, lets not attempt to say it looks good, but your parts on the inside will. It needs a rubber lining or something but that prevents it from opening and a hinge would break itself eventually or could not support the glasses weight . Its a 7/10 for me.

It is a good case. But, the Phanteks nv7 tops this at a cheaper price and the O11 dynamic evo XL is also coming out soon so there is virtually no reason to buy this over those two cases.

Get the NZXT H9 Flow isntead. This Elite version has serious thermal issues due to all the unnecesary glass at the top. Basically this case traps heat inside the case.

I was going to get it for a new build, but since I went with an E-ATX board I just settled on the 011D Evo. The cable bar/plate is the problem. They decided it to be their case signature but the design is dated and doesnt allow for any variation
