What an insane build! Looks absolutely stunning!! I LOVE black and blue color schemes so this is right up my alley. I’ve been needing to upgrade my PC for the longest time, might have to look into something like this!

The problem of course is that Asus is the only company pushing this, and they have the worst warranty service in the industry. I really hope this becomes more of a future standard - at least for premium builds. I can understand less expensive builds doing it the traditional way, but if you are willing to spend a grand or more on a GPU and $500 or more on amotherboard, this should be an option from all brands.

I really like the innovations in the BTF ecosphere. The last thing they need to do is make an all-in-one front panel connector. Don't care if it's proprietary to their cases, as long as the front panel is a single connector.

Wait Edgar, 3:20 you don’t put the foam there. There are pins that are extremely small, you can relate, but anyways if you put it on the box with no foam, it damages the pins. These pins help with temperature and if bought, can help with sata ssds. This improves download speeds by at least 20-30%. Btw I fact checked that motherboard, your lucky yours does not come with those pins.

Man that is near perfection - I'd prefer all white fans black... but over all it reminds me of looking inside Engineering in a Star Trek vessel with the warp core. I like the irony of having such a clean, minimalist look inside with the kinda outlandish exterior.... though I do enjoy the blacked out glass. My style is more minimalistic myself so I can get behind this BTF movement, only thing I'd change about this setup is probably the case (I'd love having the option of the black tinted glass though) with something less "in your face"

As far as I know, the BTF Strix GPU uses the same holes in the PCB as the standard Strix and is compatible with the same water blocks as the standard Strix. You just have the power port area that might look “off” since you don’t have a cable going in it.

One day BTF will BTF to the point where everything in front including the CPU and GPU and RAM are all at the back, and the front will just be a clean board. By that time, you'd flip the board around and it will be a "flipped" normal motherboard again.

As someone thats been building way before it was cool(20+ years) i can see the appeal but I'd never pay a premium for it. I personally think custom cables adds to a build. I bet the price just to go with all BTF parts and case adds hundreds to a none BTF build with similar parts.

Nice build, I had the same problem with my build, I have 7000D case and a Sapphire Nitro 7900XTX - I ended up removing one of the fans off the RAD for the pump to be directly screwed into the RAD. I reckon I had less than 5mm to spare. Also, I noticed you didn't rotate the bracket as the pumps slide left to right as well, it may have fitted on your first location.

Great video! In terms of the GPU Water Block, Nguyen from Modding Cafe has made a post stating all current waterblocks for the TUF/STRIX 4090 are compatible with the ROG STRIX 4090 BTF. Just food for thought if you want to full custom water cool that build 😁
