I grew up listening to Coldplay and nearly every significant experience in my life is attached to one of their songs. I finally got the chance to see them live in Tampa a few weeks ago, and that was one of the most life changing experiences ever. I plan to walk down the aisle to Reign of Love one day soon, marrying my childhood sweetheart, who i have shared every significant moment in my life with. I am so grateful to this band, and to you, for creating this masterful piece of solitude. 💛

absolutely gorgeous. recommended listening with headphones because this shit gets real. i turned my lights off, closed my eyes and listened. im taken to place where its just us laying together against a tree, the sky appears to be about 9.13 pm during the summer, and its just barely warm enough. theres a slight chill in the air, but we don’t care. we have each other to keep warm. thats all we need. theres only a vast amount of plains to look upon, and the sky is absolutely beautiful with the stars glimmering out of tempo. the moon off to our left, giving us light and watching us bond in this subtle moment. how i really wish to be here with him. but i cant be. so i lay here in my room, dreaming about the moment where i can look him in the eyes and tell him i love you. and lay under this exact tree.

My grandmother was killed in a car accident recently, she was the only grandparent that was ever there for me and my sister. This was her favorite song and every time I would go visit her she would ask my to learn this on my viola and play it for her, I was busy and always pushed it to the side then would make a lame excuse to why I cant play it. She would text me and even sent me a tutorial reminding me. I feel so guilty. I miss her endlessly and wish I wasn't foolish and just learned the damn song. I would do anything to play it for her and see her face and hear her laugh again. I didn't sit down to listen to the song till after the accident happened, the words and the whole song together just hurts. I saw this in my recommendation and instantly broke down. Im learning the song and im going to play it for her even though she isnt here with me now I hope she can here it and I hope she can forgive me. I hope one day we can fly together as one. I've loved this song for a very long time. I listened to it this morning on the bus, going on a trip that I was supposed to go on with my ex. This is my first break-up, and while it's not easy, I know that I am free. This whole process has been so difficult, but I have learned so much about myself in the process, and I know that I will become a happier version of myself than I ever could have been with him. It's okay to miss them, but even as you miss them, acknowledge that you need to let go.
