O Gauge DCC Sound 'Mega-bass' Speaker Test

Mini and home made sounded the best to me, home made really stood out on the last test. The others were really muffled. I listened to it on a surround sound speaker system.

Yes the mini emphasises a lot of the higher frequencies that are missing (or quiet) from the others. The homemade one was a compromise - I wanted some bass but I just don't have the room for the LARGE. I think we could pretty much all agree the medium speaker is pretty hopeless! 🙂 Thanks for your interest.

With large #2 You hear the whole range of tonea you don't get with the others. Nice comparison!

Thanks for listening! Yes the Large#1 looks the business but it turns out the enclosure with the simpler reflex port, and without the passive cone actually sounds slightly better IMO.

@@fildowns Hi Philip. yes it sounds that way. I listened very carefully as it's not often this sort of direct test is done. I have switched to iphone 6s speakers though being 00 gauge I don't have the space you have. They sound amazing for their size and dirt cheap on ebay. Regards Gary
