YEARS BACK I WENT TO EVERY LOCAL TRAIN SHOW AND BOUGHT SOME EVERY TIME I WENT ALONG WITH OTHER STUFF.I LOVE THAT THERE ARE HAND PAINTED PEOPLE IN EVERY AUTO TOO.

Layout seems neat, a lot more than just concentric circles one sees on most video’s. The infrastructure stuff is interesting but something I wouldn’t put time and money into. But nice eye candy.😊 My Lionel is just toys to play with & entertain myself nothing realistic appearing or serious.

The landscaping and trackside detail is really amazing, love your train pieces as well as the automobiles. Where did you find such vintage 50's and 60's die cast cars?

It is an old unit I got at a show many years ago with no mfg info anywhere but it still runs great and my grandson has run it endlessly on the floor and our layout.

I got into "toy" trains back around 1969 with my father, a hobby we shared until he passed away in 2011. I remember well postwar Lionel locomotives, the FM, Santa Fe F3 and 773 Hudson being my favorite of course. Then, later in in the mid-70's we got into prewar and in 1977 my father bought a black 1941 763e which was the pride of our collection for years. In 1985, he bought a 1937 700e Hudson from a friend who inherited it from his brother. These years have so many memories. Then of course in the 1990's, these larger, scale models (kind of no longer 'toys' [like the 700e]) began taking hold on the 3-rail market and we had a great time collecting some of these as well but the greatest memories were with the old prewar, postwar and MPC era Lionel trains. Thank you so much for the memories. 😚🤗

Your right about that. Thanks for sharing this with everyone.

I have o gauge trains but can’t seem to get past that third rail. Why is it that most O scale layouts are just a bunch of circles as opposed to a switching layout? Your track looks very good and I agree it’s the small details that make a layout.

Oh forgot to say I am a model railroader, building a walk around style N scale layout around perimeters of my basement with a peninsula. I went from one extreme to the other, but I will be posting videos of the build on KZbin soon as I figure out how. Again beautiful layout nice work n nothing like O scale. Wish I had the room. And I will be selling a ton of small details on eBay.

Yow! You have a fantastic layout. All of the detail is superb and it's enjoyable to watch the trains run. It would have been nice to build a layout like yours in my basement, but unfortunately, it has been subdivided into a couple of rooms. My current layout is a 24'x18' L. I couldn't make it wide at the long end, because the room is only a little over 12' wide, at that point, so I made that end seven and a half feet wide.. I have fifteen feet to work with at the short end, so it is nine feet wide, at that point. The good thing is, I can run long trains. It's a nice running layout, but scenery is another issue. I'm not good at it, but I'm going to enlist the help of some of my friends who know what they are doing, to spruce it up and make it look pretty good, when done. I can only hope that it looks even close to as good yours and some of the other big layouts. An excellent video, for sure.
