15’x21’ is huge when compared to a 4x8 layout some of us have to use. Regardless, it’s a very nice space and they made good use of it

4'x 8' is huge when compared to the train-set-size layouts some of us retirees have to use! Both the modeling and the photography are to be commended for for making this beautiful layout also look larger than even its room-size footprint. The third-dimension trackage supported by see-through trestles is an exceptionally good space enhancer. And the elimination of square corners provides the illusion of an infinite perimeter. Very well designed and constructed. Thank you for presenting this layout!

I like how he is using his Lionel "TOYS" in a fairly realistic layout, yet they do not feel out of place.

Very Nice Layout but I would not consider this a Small Space. That's a nice sized Room.

@huntercoleman460 Bigger. But we have a work area, play area, TV and couch and chair, and Shelving Units in it. It's like 15x26. So I know that the Judges Layout Room is large. I thought it was gonna be like an 8x10 Room which is small.

True, but keep in mind the vast majority of the layouts OGR filmed were enormous. This layout showcases a more average type of space to utilize. Im using this layout as a reference to build my next layout, but in a 11x15 room.

@@wordenentertainment1997 Oh. I am trying to figure out how to build a "small" layout with 72 in curves. I do not like 36 inch curves. I am using FastTrack.

@@WaltANelsonPHD to run O72, build at least a 6 foot wide table. I do intend to use O72 curves on my outer loop when the time comes.

Fairly big room, actually. I guess a little hole in the wall like mine would be a "compact" layout if this one is "small". It's a good one, though!
