I have always loved his layout! First saw it on vhs when I was about 8 years old in a TM Books and Video Lionel movie, im now 34 and still love this hobby.

detailed but without the clutter you see on so many layouts-love the conventional operation-a very good job!

It’s great to see Ron and his layout are still around! I had a VHS tape when I was a kid, called “America’s best model trains” that featured him and I’ve just recently showed it to my son for the first time.

This was easily one of the best hi-rail layouts ever made, especially with that sublime catenary system. I met with Bob LaVessi of the NYSoME, who helped design the catenary, before COVID and told me the layout is no more, which is a real shame.

I remember I first saw this in Part 5 of TM’s “Great Toy Train Layouts of America” It’s nice to see that Ron and Walt’s masterpiece is still going strong to this day.

I see he replaced his ZW transformers with MTH ones. I also like how he took an N scale train and made it into a park train.
