Hi, Bear, I appreciate your comment. While it is often hard to distinguish the EMD F3 from an F7, and I believe the L&N actually had both. The Lionel L&N models seen in the video are actually identified as F7's. Yes, I am really pleased the Steve chose to purse the custom run project and the models really turned out nice. I feel very fortunate to have a set. I am sure they will see a lot of service on the OM&S. Thanks again! Bill

Hey, Clyde, great to hear from you! Yes, I love those F units, I can't help it, lol! You are right, many of my trains are special to me because of some connection to a person, event, or time in my life that created a memory. I kind of equate it to how particular songs/music resonate for some people. Ha, ha, that super bass is very cool, and I really like them how they amplify the locomotive sounds. A horn challenge, kind of like, which horn is your favorite kind of thing. I have heard of a whistle challenge, Chris RBP has that covered, but I have not seen a diesel horn, challenge. Interesting! I'll think about that, perhaps pit an EMD loco with a Baldwin or Alco model's horn. Which do you like best kind of thing. Nice idea, thank you Clyde. Bill

Hey, rjshier9188, thank you for watching the video to the end. I believe you are the first to comment on the short blooper, lol. I am a fan of the L&N, but certainly not an authority. I believe that the L&N had some of its early F7 B units painted with the stripe but that a later batch of B units was painted without it. Although a B unit with the stripe would look pretty sharp, I am pleased with Mr. Muffin's decision to produce the model without it. Thank you again! Bill
