After reading a lot about this case, it seems to me the only reason he was acquitted was because the jury was black, and they were not about to convict another black man, let alone a black hero. The man was obviously guilty.

That was the major reason .... The lawyers made it into some bullshit black vs white case. OJ Simpson didn't give a fuck about black people...he lived with white people. The fact they had a 1% doubt because of the glove....meant he had to be let go.

He was a great prosecutor but unfortunately his heart was not doing well. However, he did participate in the trial. He just wasn't the lead prosecutor. Robert Kardashian had been OJ's friend for 25 years before these murders. Once he became one of OJ's attorney's in the trial: he couldn't speak on his personal feelings because of attorney-client privilege. RK always believed there was no explaining away the blood evidence that linked OJ to the murders. Kardashian was finally able to reveal his true feelings about OJ's guilt--only after OJ was found guilty in the civil case brought by Ron Goldman's father. Also: Robert knew and was witness to so much more of OJ's words and behavior than any of the other defense attorney's. They were very close friends for 25 years before the trial. The friendship ended after OJ's trial.

I was 8 - 9 year old when this happened. That's all you saw on TV for months. Our class would be at recess or gym class and when we came back to our regular class, our teachers would be watching the OJ Simpson trial. I never understood a couple of things: if OJ is truly innocent, why isnt he out there actively looking for the killer? And second, if he is innocent, why did he feel the need to want to kill himself and go on a speed chase in the beginning?
@daneowusu-agyemang99632 жыл бұрын
When you murder, it can come along with depression. Plus, since OJ knew that he wasn’t innocent, he wanted a quiet place to kill himself so he couldn’t be brought to justice. The guy was secretly scared of the trial and the verdict that would come out.

Brown and Simpson were married on February 2, 1985, five years after his retirement from professional football. The couple had two children, Sydney Brooke Simpson (b. 1985) and Justin Ryan Simpson (b. 1988). The marriage lasted seven years. Brown claimed that by 1989, police had visited the couple's house eight times for domestic violence calls, and that police had not helped her in any of them. That year, on December 31, Brown phoned the police, saying that she thought Simpson was going to kill her. Authorities said Simpson had "punched, slapped, and kicked her", he pleaded no contest to spousal abuse in 1989. A family friend claimed that Simpson had told Brown's friends that if he ever "caught her with anyone, he would kill her." And the rest is the unfortunate history!!

That was the point...he was never going to let her go. She tried to move on and date other people, but he stalked her and eventually killed her.
