Greetings from No. VT (USA) - Buckin is absolutely correct in his statement. I can now easily spend 2 hours or more shaving and shaping the fit of the axe head. The last one I did using Buckin's approach took over 30 cycles of "fit, tighten, remove, reevaluate, shave" then repeat! When you take it really slow and carefully, like Buckin, the result is awesome!

16 years ago I feel and hurt my back and 10 years ago I started to have to use a cane to walk and use a knee brace on my right knee and I use to wake up and not be able to feel anything from my waist down 5 years ago God healed my spine and made my spine the way it was before I got hurt and 2 years ago a week before Easter God healed my knees I will be praying for God to heal you on a side note every day I check just to see if you have a new video uploaded yet that's how awesome you are

I love it . Your energy is awesome. I have several of my old mans axes . That he taught me how to use when I was way younger. I have been collecting heads for 30years found several nice heads in the dirt outside my shop shortly after moving in the house . The guy I bought the place from was a scrapper. My dad raised me to treat people with respect and to work hard . I'm a recovering addict that understands having someone help them in the worst part of there life . I try to pay it forward. Nice vid! :) I seen on your wall you have hand drills. The hand drills were used with broad axes to cut out beams. Then drill holes for the joinery to match the beams joinery, like dowel pinning the beams together in a joint.

I inherited an axe almost exactly like that from my granddad. My dad always told me he used it to split wood. I never understood it because it seemed so small and we always split red oak and we always used a maul to get through the hardwood. I may get a handle on it and see what that little guy could do.

Greetings from No. VT (USA) - since I have been watching and learning from these axe videos I have completely revamped my approach to replacing handles on not just axes but sledge and specialty hammers. I just did a rehab on a really nice old 2 lb ball peen hammer using the "Buckin" technique and it handles so much better than before. I completely reshaped and reset the botched replacement handle that was on it when I found it. The difference in feel on a properly set axe head or ledge is startling. I am amazed at how many improperly set tools I am seeing. Thanks Buckin - positive thoughts coming your way I hope things are still good for Bobo and your family!
