A country without a manufacturing base cannot defend itself in times of war. If you are dependent upon supply lines running across borders and oceans you are extremely vulnerable and at a huge disadvantage to those hostile nations that have a strong manufacturing base. Remember, the US was the country that had the manufacturing base that armed both Britain and the Soviet Union during World War 2, as well as our own military. This is a GREAT QUESTION, I don’t think all the effort to get us back to MAGA, that Trump would just retire without grooming somebody to take over. He’ll need to be watching from day-one to see our future in 4 years, otherwise he shouldn’t have wasted his time, and HIS LIFE on a wasted country not worth saving. Voters need to pay attention, don’t believe what they promise unless you know for sure. The Congress and the Senate are as important as the presidency and all the Department Managers. We don’t need more Garlands, Wray’s, and Myorkis’. Also so important is the head of the Senate and the Congress. Even the Republicans are having a problem with Mike Johnson, a long with Democrat Senator Jefferies. We need people in charge of these programs that have the people in mind not their climb up the ladder.
