It's both better and worse in a public game where you're talking through text chat, because at the beginning of the meeting people are suspicious of one person and then everyone starts talking about something else and don't confirm who they're talking about. The only good thing is that you can check back at what people said.

For those who are driven and persuaded more by emotion than logic like Adri, the trust-play’s the sure-fire way to go because unless she thinks there’s something off about your behavior, as long as you make her feel safe she will vouch for you every time no matter how long she’s known or played with you. No amount of logic or reasoning will sway her. Now obviously that’s going to mean that your impostor buddy’s got to play like a pro so that the emotional one(s) don’t suspect a thing about you, but it can be done if your partner’s competent and smooth. What’s more, having that trust-buddy means that you can also play along with their whims and suspicions to make yourself look even better to them because again, players like Adri aren’t swayed by logic and reasoning. They get a “vibe” about someone and they will stick with it until the eject happens, regardless of whether they’re actually right or not. So you can use them to figure out who to pin blame on and either try to get ejected or left alone by your partner in order to make them look even more sus in the next round.

@Rusty depends on how the both of impos buddies play. in one random lobby this one person and i had an understanding that one would always do the trust play and the other would kill. also trust play is a good way to go if someone is following you around because you were impos last game. if you kill them people will immediately know it's you. for me at least a lot of times people would just go "oh this person is confirmed good all game so i trust their info". all that's left is for the other crew to throw unsure accussations around to be able to vote them off.

I am howling at how angry they get about Adriana. "They didn't give you any evidence!" That's the beauty of the trust play. Stealth kills and lying by omission or throwing others under the bus is fun, but there's something so satisfying about a long con. The difference is that it often relies more heavily on the crewmates turning on each other, but if you have a solid alibi with one of the goodies, you're safe and free to be a sicko. Chilled has done this a number of times, particularly with Junk and Cole, he's just not as readily presumed-innocent by the group as Ross was.

And to go with what they said. No one actually gave and evidence, facts, or logic as they put it. It was nothing but accusations. The only thing close was them seeing Chilled come down from the direction of a dead body. There are vents the imposters can use. Would have been easy to unalive someone and then vent out below light cage. They didn't think that was a possibility. Just straight to you came from that area so you did it.

She def wasnt a 3rd imposter in the first game. the 2nd game is a mixed bag. jacob couldve been lying about where he saw ross, and the chilled kill in front of jacob, it wasn't a real fact since both people kept pointing fingers at the other. For all she knew, jacob couldve been covering for his actions. Just imagine jacob killing the guy in medbay... pretends to check medbay and reports the body and blames someone... is actually a usuable strat if it works out. Keep in mind, when jacob reported the body, ross and chilled were both at the admin room, how did jacob know ross was there and to point the finger at in... couldve been a lie.

Honestly I think Kidd and alpha were trusting each other way too hard without too much evidence. There was no reason to trust each other. Kidd didn’t have much evidence but “I saw him”. He reported a lot of bodies and constantly throwing accusations. I think that’s the problem with people who already know each other.

Judging from how she acts and reacts in games with other people (TRG & Friends, Alpharad, VO groups), her crew mate playstyle is largely emotion based. If you can cater to her emotions and make her feel safe, you’ve won her trust just like that, but if she gets even an inkling that something’s off, she becomes immediately suspect and will not hesitate to call you out because of the vibes she gets from you, and most of the time logic will not sway her either way. Sometimes she’s right, especially with people she’s close to, but other times, not so much. Feel like Jacob should’ve known that when trying to convince Adri he’s right, but there’s probably no way Kidd knew. Also doesn’t help that she easily crumbles when she gets interrogated as crew mate at which point her memory fails her. It’s gotten her ejected a few times.

And the thing is, Alpha was being so suspicious with his "facts" that if I wasn't seeing who was the impostor (because Chilled) I fully thought it was him trying to set up the double kill. Plus the fact that Kidd actually was set up with the 'possible self report', then right after "seeing someone kill" made him look like a possible impostor. Kidd and Alpha actually chucked it for themselves because their "facts and logic" were so full of holes yet they were so sure they were right, which they were in the end but a broken clock is right twice a day. But yeah Adriana put the nails in the coffin with her "argument" of medbay XD.

The percentage may be total BS but the psychology of it usually works, since crewmates usually have suspicions and ideas on who they want to vote but it is just an extra kill for imposters especially with confirms off. So they can sit back and just ask which unlucky person they can help shoot out, usually hesitating or skipping if it is their imposter buddy.

Truthfully, I think people apologize to Chilled so much because he gets screwed over by suspicious crewmates all the time. That close match with adrianna supposedly being third imposter was tough man. She had a reason to trust Ross (because he just wasn't killing). Kidd and Octo yelling that it's chilled and Ross, then immediately going to it's chilled and adrianna, that right there can be an indicator of impostors trying to get anyone voted off. Their argument was unfortunately only as strong as chilled's because literally no one saw anything. The only piece of evidence was that Chilled and Octo both claimed they saw the other kill, it boils down to a trust gamble. Alpha was lucky he chose to side with Kidd and Octo but this 100% could've been the other way around with him being played. I think the biggest play in the end was with 7 players left, Chilled got a kill that depended on "do we trust Chilled or Kidd". The fact that they were going for adrianna who was defending Ross for good reason because HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING was their misplay. They knew it was Chilled, they should've dropped the argument about ross and adrianna, and gunned for him maybe.

I had one game where I saw red's body fall and someone disappear into the vent and I thought it was dark blue. There wasn't a dark blue in the lobby and the impostors were purple and dark green. I still don't know whether I saw purple and thought it was blue or whether I actually didn't see anyone and just saw the vent close and my brain made up the idea of it being dark blue.

Couple things to take into account with your "big brain" "who are we voting for" idea chilled is 1.) When everyone is talking over each other it get's legit hard to figure out what's going on 2.) they could genuinely be good crewmembers and simply confirming who the majority vote is going for so as not to split the vote
