Hong Kong does not have its own patuá. It is Macau unique treasure, so, preserve it folks.

Dr. Elisabela Larren, I do not agree with you. "The term 'tusheng tuyu' (土生土語) may not be entirely accurate because the meanings of 'tusheng' (土生, meaning 'native-born') and 'tuyu' (土語, meaning 'local language') could cause some confusion here. Cantonese is indeed the true 'local language' (tuyu) of Macau. Only native-born residents of Macau can be called 'tusheng.' I am a Chinese person from Macau, and my family has been born in Macau for generations-my grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and great-great-great-grandfather were all born here. So of course, I am 'tusheng.' In the United States, the 'native-born' are the Native Americans, not white people. The term 'tusheng' came to be associated with 'tusheng Puren' (土生葡人, or Macanese people of Portuguese descent) through historical interactions with the Portuguese, where it eventually became a specialized term to describe this group. This is understandable, and it is also accepted that 'Portuguese people born in Macau' are indeed 'native-born Macau people.' Today, people understand the term 'tusheng' much more clearly."
