O'Neill-trained Raging Torrent earns first stakes win in Mayfield

Trainer Doug O'Neill once had Derby dreams for Raging Torrent, but while the horse ran well he did not seem to want to go the classic distance. O'Neill brought Raging Torrent to Churchill Downs for Sunday's closing-day Mayfield overnight stakes for 3-year-olds at seven-eighths of a mile. The result was the Kentucky-bred colt's first stakes victory and second wire-to-wire win at Churchill Downs for relatively new horse owner Mark Davis. We catch up with O'Neill after the race.
