NASCAR: Throws a caution for a tiny amount of rain on a road course. Also NASCAR: Doesn't throw a caution for Kyle Larson Tokyo Drifting into the tires or Kyle Busch bouncing around like a pinball on the frontstretch. 🤨🥴

@@turbokart3776 I don't think so, I also don't like unecessary cautions, but I wasn't there so it is hard for me to judge whether or not that was the best decision. The thing about rain is that it will make the track slippery before you can actually see that the surface is wet, and with this particular track, they are reaching high speeds on parts of the oval so I can't get too upset at them for playing it safe with that in mind.
@turbokart3776

@jamesshives5679
@jamesshives5679 3 жыл бұрын
@@turbokart3776 Normally I would agree, but, since they are using parts of the oval, it makes sense to throw a caution for rain because that is what they do for ovals and they do it for a reason. Not saying they shouldn't race at all in the rain here but I think they wanted to avoid a situation where guys are on slicks going 150 on a slippery banking. This is different than Charlotte because they are reaching far higher speeds on the oval sections.

Am I the only one who doesn't like races divided up into stages? I could see the appeal on ovals, but it kind of wrecks the flow on the road courses. It kind of also causes drivers to take more risks and be more reckless, which causes more crashes and yellows. I dunno... Maybe with more road courses, drivers will mellow out. Teams only have so many cars and parts.

Yeah, so the regular season points they win go into the season standings. The playoff points aren't in use until the playoffs in September. Basically, it helps a driver who has done well all season (by winning stages) move on to the next round in the playoffs, so a fluke bad race won't knock out a driver that is dominating. Let me know if you have any other questions about it. I'm all for helping others learn! :)

@@billsbetterthanurteam8488 yeah if he wrecked himself otherwise there wasn't a car on the track that could keep up with him besides bell and he won. When chase pitted there was 14 to go and only had 4 laps on the slicks. If he wouldn't have pitted with 19 to go he would have 5 road courses in a row.

They need less power and more driver. Power doesnt matter nearly as much on a road course then it does on a circle track. In fact one of the most popular cars for road racing is a miata.

actually if you watch and listen, Hamlin was in the spot and Elliot moved down on Hamlin when the 11 was already there. It's called a crossover. That doesn't work when the guy is already there. Hamlin tried to slam the break and had the 14 ram him from behind.

Elliott gave this race away. Should be 5 in a row and 6 of the last 8 road courses but that's should be instead of reality. Why pit with 15 left?? When you have the best car. Bell was the only only that could keep within 3 seconds of him the entire race. Old or new tires

Low. He's no road course driver... I wasn't even counting on seeing him perform in them. The ovals are where I expect to see what strides he would make if any. But he's young: he's got a lot to go and learn like many of the others.

No, Road Courses are so big when a car spins nobody is normally near them, and the Flag Marshall doesn’t determine whether a yellow flag comes out, all up to NASCAR

NASCAR called that BS caution for rain and screwed chase Elliot. Then you have chase coming back and Hamlin running into the back of him and he spins didn’t help
