NASCAR: Throws a caution for a tiny amount of rain on a road course. Also NASCAR: Doesn't throw a caution for Kyle Larson Tokyo Drifting into the tires or Kyle Busch bouncing around like a pinball on the frontstretch. 🤨🥴

@@turbokart3776 I don't think so, I also don't like unecessary cautions, but I wasn't there so it is hard for me to judge whether or not that was the best decision. The thing about rain is that it will make the track slippery before you can actually see that the surface is wet, and with this particular track, they are reaching high speeds on parts of the oval so I can't get too upset at them for playing it safe with that in mind.

@@turbokart3776 Normally I would agree, but, since they are using parts of the oval, it makes sense to throw a caution for rain because that is what they do for ovals and they do it for a reason. Not saying they shouldn't race at all in the rain here but I think they wanted to avoid a situation where guys are on slicks going 150 on a slippery banking. This is different than Charlotte because they are reaching far higher speeds on the oval sections.

actually if you watch and listen, Hamlin was in the spot and Elliot moved down on Hamlin when the 11 was already there. It's called a crossover. That doesn't work when the guy is already there.

Nice 👍 I just finished watching the race and what a finish by 20 Bell. Good for him. I love the Daytona Road Course. Much better than the HUGE Road courses we’re used to in Up State NY & NoCal Daytona Road is so much better much more action because it’s not too spread out. Good race. I liked it a lot.

Am I the only one who doesn't like races divided up into stages? I could see the appeal on ovals, but it kind of wrecks the flow on the road courses. It kind of also causes drivers to take more risks and be more reckless, which causes more crashes and yellows. I dunno... Maybe with more road courses, drivers will mellow out. Teams only have so many cars and parts.

1 Playoff point and 10 regular season points for a stage win and 5 Playoff points with 40 regular seasons points for winning the race. It’s pretty dumb if you ask me

Yeah, so the regular season points they win go into the season standings. The playoff points aren't in use until the playoffs in September. Basically, it helps a driver who has done well all season (by winning stages) move on to the next round in the playoffs, so a fluke bad race won't knock out a driver that is dominating. They need less power and more driver. Power doesnt matter nearly as much on a road course then it does on a circle track. In fact one of the most popular cars for road racing is a miata.
