John McCormack did you say ??? I mean as Bond said to Q "Surely, you must be joking???". McCormack was a very delicate Lyric Irish Tenor not even in the same arena as Caurso, Lanza and Pavarotti . McCormack should be compared to Georges Thill and other light Lyric tenors Not the big Italian voices. Kathy should have mentioned Franco Corelli and Placido Domingo.

It’s actually stupid to compare Johnathan with Pavarotti. For years people compared Pavarotti with Enrico Caruso. Actually, Johnathan sings in about the same register as Caruso, touching in the high baritone to almost mid to high tenor. Pavarotti sang in almost the full tenor range. What they have in common is absolute control of their voice at full volume. The point is that from Caruso to Johnathan, they are all fantastic, no comparisons necessary.

If Jonathan was 17 in 2012 when on BGT, in 2024 he is 29 in 2024. This video was made maybe 9 years ago. If being your best with a singing voice happens in your 30s or 40s, he hasn't reached as good as he can get yet.
