本来は学生の勤労動員（学徒動員の数か月後に実施）に際して作られた歌なのですが、この神宮での壮行会があまりにもインパクトが強く、またこの歌とぴったりくるので勤労動員・学徒動員の双方をイメージして歌い継がれている、というのが実態です。 実際、私の96になる母親は、勤労動員にて豊川海軍工廠に半年ほど勤務し、25ミリ機関砲の弾丸を作っていましたし、中学生の時に物理を教えていた先生は実際に小銃を担いで行進した方。ものすごく寒い日であったそうです。

@@user-yq1rj5hy5w 様、ほかの方にも　　今は空の神兵と敵は幾万が新しく載っています。 杏ノ助さんの歌い方や声とは全く違う方ですが藍川由美さん、この方は声楽を極めた方ですが、当時の楽譜のままピアノ伴奏で歌っておられる軍歌がたくさんあります。CDも出ています。杏ノ助さんとは全く違う世界ですが聞かれるとよいと思います。両方とも大好きです。
