It brings tears to my eyes watching this having been there with my family knowing my ancestors fought for hundreds of years to protect their land.

It really does. I’m American, and knew the general history and how my family left for New York, but some of the places gave me the feels when I actually visited them. It’s hard to explain. Are you in a Ireland or were you visiting from abroad? And nice to meet a fellow O’Toole 😊
@TheSeano19883 жыл бұрын
@@MagellanandGreyhound I was visiting from America. My great grandfather came to New York Ellis island from Ireland. Our family in the states took a vacation to Ireland a couple years ago. Best trip of my life. Can’t wait to go back soon.!

@@TheSeano1988 Same boat as us too. My relatives came in the 1880-1910 timeframe through Ellis, and then stayed in New York lol. I am hoping to take my dad there next year, because we are agreed, trip of a life time. So many times, I kept pinching myself - is this a real place?

Hopefully when this is all over, you can. It is way better than any video you can watch. Our only suggestion is to go in the late spring/summer months so that it isn't raining like mad. We went in June of 2018, and barely saw any rain.

Lough Tay is gorgeous--a fairy tale lake. Great narration about the O'Toole castle. Those steps built into the rocks at the Black Castle are so cool. Amazing there are any remains from that ancient structure.

Beautiful! I appreciate the wonderful sights of Ireland important to the O'Toole linage, and enjoyed your story information of each. My grandfather was Irish (McNainy), but I've never been to Ireland. So your video was great to watch. Thanks for sharing and have a great day 😀👍

The black castle 🏰 looks stunning near the ocean! It’s surprising to know that to hike to the tallest mountain in Ireland, we need permission from private party! That mountain looks awesome!

We were surprised too. It’s not a big obstacle, but part of it is not public land. Also, everything everywhere looks stunning near the ocean! That’s why Ireland is so amazing to see
