Paint the D rings ORANGE, put on some rubber isolators and rubber rings to make the D rings silent and wont bang or damage bumper. You can get a kit off Ebay for $5-$6 for isolators and rubber rings

Nice to see him wrench on his rig, however I'd go for closed toe shoes when installing anything on my jeep especially heavy metal bumpers ;-) good luck to you two.

The most important upgrade a jeep can can start with is a bumper upgrade with a winch .. Why have you chosen to skip on the winch ?

Like your vids but you guys drive me crazy with all the heavy work you do wearing flip-flops on your feet.

I probably would have made an asinine comment like that too until I became a father. It was then that I realized that you can’t put a dollar amount on time spent teaching your kids...or talking to them...or just being with them. While I’m not all about giving my kids the easy way in life with everything, I think a few hundred bucks on a bumper is absolutely a worthwhile investment.

Not every kid gets to do this with their father ! I wish I could’ve spend any time with mine but he pass away when I was 11. Your videos with your son makes me happy to watch you pass your wisdom along!

It’s a Smittybilt.... nothing will be aligned. The QC with their products is horrible. On my bumper the milled holes were off across the length by 9/16”.

I put an ARB bull bar and Smittybilt 8000lb winch on the front of my 2000 TJ, what a tank of a bumper! Love the look and the install is as simple as it gets

Good video , shame about the fit up to the sway bar cover and mounting holes on top , always wondered what the quality was like with smittybilt as we don't see much of it in Australia

Put anti-seize on those bolts next time. And re-using those torx bolts was stupid. Should've replaced them with hex bolts. Rookie mistake.

I have the same T55’s on my Jeep front bumper, but mine are stripped. What would you use or need to get them off?
@o3djeeps5 жыл бұрын
That sucks. Can you get heavy duty vice grips around the heads? You could also look at grinding a little notch on the edge of the head, and use that with a chisel and hammer to try and rotate it. Once it's broke loose there are some easier options. Heat may help. Just some thoughts I'd look at.

o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] what size vice grip would I need. I can get them just don’t know what size.
@o3djeeps5 жыл бұрын
@@brandon.lamson4670 Big. It would need to clamp on that head with a lot of force, and preferably one you can put a breaker bar on the handle to get some leverage.

money well spent! I had no idea how much I would value my battery powered tools. It took me a while to get used to it... I often would reach for the ratchet out of habit, but now I use power tools unless I can't!
