Great tips! Many of these we didn't do and definitely will if we get back. Planning a 2 week Maui/Kauai next year. 2 things we did on Oahu that I would recommend: 1) the Polynesian Cultural Center including the Luau and show after (Ha- Breath of Life) and 2) Dolphin Excursions. I'm not a city guy, but think we may have missed out some by avoiding Honolulu. We went to Leonard's and Pearl Harbor and the water fall hike, but watching your video, my mouth was watering and should have embraced the crowds for Waikiki. Thx again.

Loved Leonard’s bakery, didn’t want to deal with the line up at the original location but there’s another food truck at the Koko Marina Center. The Moena Café stops taking orders at 2pm so be aware. The Pa’ina Café is permanently closed.

i was just in oahu and for me personally i dont like big crowds so i wasnt a big fan of waikiki but i mean it was cool. we stayed at the private villas at ko olina on lagoon two and i would highly recommend it. it had free parking and it was just beautiful. you have to go to pearl harbor if you are there. great video!

O'ahu is the best island to get around without a rental car! Lots to do and see around Waikiki and Honolulu. Hop on the bus, taxi, Uber, scooter, etc. to see more of the island. Try a guided tour to get to other sights. Book in advance though for the tours as the islands are getting busy.

Thanks for signing up for our newsletter! I recommend they do a snorkel tour to Molikini as a tour has lifeguards in the water, calm water, and the provide floaties. From shore is possible but can be rough for the little ones when learning. They offer great surf lessons at breakwall in Lahaina. See our recommendations section for our favorite. I don’t usually recommend so many tours but if just learning, then use a professional for the kids. Do a regular car. Convertibles are tiny. The mustang has a small backseat but the cameros are real small. Try a keep and take the top off!
