OAHU HAWAII TRIP 2024 - Diamond Head Trail / Chinatown / Rainbow Drive-In / Hyatt Regency - Disaster

Fun 4th Day on the Island. The dim sum in Chinatown was okay. Definitely enjoyed the company. Of course our trip wouldn't be complete without a quick stop at Costco Honolulu. Got a bunch of great things to bring back home. The highlight of the day was hiking Diamond Head. You need reservations to get in and since we couldn't get an early morning reservation, so we went for the late afternoon one. Still a little warm, but much better than middle of the day. Dinner at Rainbow Drive-In was great. Parking is not easy, but if you wait, something eventually opens. The nighttime water disaster was not fun, but it was entertaining. Have to laugh at it now. Made for a very entertaining and eventful day. Fun Times!

OMG so much to comment for this day! Dimsum place was good, but after they’re done trying to give you your orders, they were pretty much done with you. I’d look for another place next time. Costco sells the main Hawaiian stuff at the mainland certain times of the year. I would not have made it to the hike unfortunately. Rainbow Drive-in was meh, but how creamy was the Mac salad Caleb? And DO BETTER Hyatt. So many issues with the hotel this trip. It’s unfortunate.

@@jenhaskill2343 lol! The dimsum was good, but yes, the service needed a little improvement. Sorry, you couldn’t go with us on the hike. I liked my loco moco at Rainbow Drive In. I think Jacob and Caleb thought their mixed plate stuff was meh! And yes, we had some issues with the Hyatt this time around. Unfortunate, but for the most part, the stay was still okay. My opinion.
