Its a beautiful house but I would much rather see it donated back to the local people to enjoy. Hawaiians are being priced out of their homes and if the government of Hawaii can buy this and make it a free resort for the natives to enjoy it seems like that would be the best use of the land. And the prestige knowing that a President who grew up on the island used that house for his vacations would make it even more special.

The bones of the house are very nice. That stated this place is seriously ugly and in DESPERATE need of being gutted and remodeled. It’s dark, dated, and has the ugliest furniture I’ve ever seen. Even the pool is a hot mess and should be redone. Great bones but a major disappointment inside. Clearly the ocean front is nice and My first thought as to why he would stay I. This dump would be based on security and ease of protection by the secret service. Overall I’d give this property a C. (An A for location and land but an F for appointments). The appliances look old and the interior is going to cost a small fortune to fix.

More on the traditional side and the furniture looks uncomfortable, though it could be staged. I like the art and floor plan, interiors are too dark (cabinets, floors, counters, furniture). A lighter interior palette would open up space and modernize the space, I would have changed the cabinets and countertops. Nice grounds, the dining room facing the beautiful outdoor space is the draw.

nice home but the toilet room seems small did you get that impression as well? design it with more space. yes, the wood was dark, and I noticed fading on the outdoor cushions get new ones and fuller flower arrangements. please keep the housekeeper when the new owner comes to buy the home excellent upkeep of the home. there are several home designs in that area of Kailua with very similar pool design in the front of the house and same dark wood interior. the master shower seemed odd to close to the tub a little more space between them is needed. the house should have another washer and dryer combo it is a 6 bedroom home after all. the tiny maids quarter is a closet space Cinderella needs her space as well.

The house is POORLY designed. The master bath is a nightmare. The tub is out of place. That BR is a galley and just doesn’t work. They can stand to lose a bedroom and do an expansion. The master has no lounging area the closet is small and like I said previously the BR is a disaster

I don’t hate the center courtyard pool concept. However, like the rest of the house it is dated. The house needs two things to start and architect and an interior designer (preferably a mainland one). The designers here keep copying the same crappy “island design” that is just so tired. There’s a beautiful resort in the Maldives I would try to replicate. The Primary and the pool need to be relocated to the back of the house. The primary can them expand to include outdoor shower and bathtub. Along with privacy longing with and access to pool and hot tub. Again, multiple resorts as seen in Lux vids on you tube provide ample examples of what that property should be converted to

How much did it cost US taxpayers for Obama to fly Airforce 1 out to Hawaii, each time, shadowed by two F-16s that had to refuel at least twice (once, just across the Pacific), from DC to Honolulu, one way? Millions, one way. His home in the United States was in Chicago. He should not have been able to waste tax payers’, money, traveling that many times to Hawaii. Beautiful Ocean view in the back & Nice Closets. ,The Bathrooms are dated & don't seem luxurious with small vanities, home depot toilets, dated bathroom vanity lights, and the freestanding white cabinet in the laundry, wth...
