OAHU HAWAII TRIP 2024 SERIES - Day 1 - Episode 1
It's an exciting day. The first day of our awesome trip to Oahu Hawaii. We start with a shuttle ride to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Hyters and Grandma Patty join us on the trip to the airport. It happens that Hawaiian Airlines goes out of the International side of the airport, so our trips starts at the Tom Bradley International Terminal. We met with all the other family and left on the plane headed to Oahu. Hawaiian airlines provides a meal as part of the flight, which was great, and the plane is rather new with a dimming window instead of a pull down window. It was pretty awesome as you could still see outside.
In Honolulu, everyone gets a lei at the airport, and we head on Roberts Hawaii shuttle to our hotel in Waikiki - Hyatt Regency. We enjoy a little time at the Hotel and do a quick room tour before heading out to lunch at the Maui Brewing Co off of Kalakaua Avenue. The lunch was good, though mostly appetizer type foods, and the drinks were great. Enjoyed our first family meal together. We then enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the Waikiki Beach. Afterwards, the Haskill family headed out for some dinner, and after attempting to find a place to eat so late, found an Udon restaurant in the Stix Asia asian food court. We finished off the night with some shaved ice at Ice Monster, which was delicious. And of course, there is the boys acting silly as usual. It was a great ending to the night.

One of most favorite places to visit - Hawaii. This year we are heading to Oahu for some family fun and to celebrate a bunch of High School graduations including Caleb's. The flight to Honolulu was actually really nice and it seems to be a new plane. So excited to stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Waikiki. Had a great lunch at the Maui Brewing Co and a wonderful first sunset on the Waikiki Beach. The Stix Asia Udon restaurant was satisfactory but not great, but the Ice Monster Shave Ice place was awesome. Really enjoyed! This was a great first day and start of this awesome Oahu Hawaii Trip.
