This cover is so highly underrated!! The Mind Electric got my head bopping as always but this cover did it the best!! I also love how there are transitions from one song to another like with Introduction to the Snow to Isle Unto Thyself to Black Rainbows to White Ball and Dream Sweet in Sea Major to Variations on a Cloud to Candle on the Water! It reminds me of Pink Floyd (cuz they have A LOT of really good transitions in their albums.)

I finally made time to listen to this and its so good. One of my favorite parts were how previous tracks played and the electric shocks and beeps starting at 24:29 , chills. l absolutely adored this cover album. Hawaii: Part II is more or less my favorite album of all time, and I've spent many hours listening to it, so I'm often a bit reluctant about cover albums, but this? This was absolutely fantastic. The sound is crisp, catchy, professional- The whole set. I found myself bopping my head through several segments- You gave a lot of bits in the album a more high-energy feel to them while not losing the soft, emotional qualities that made them WORK. Finding remixes/covers that make the songs catchier without going full rave-mode and missing the point of the original thing are SO rare, and I adore what you did with all of these. Some specific favorite moments that come to mind are: -The harsher guitar in Black Rainbows, which adds a lot of personality to the track. -The melodic, jarring (but not forced) twists in Murders, which are unsettling and I love so so much. -ALL of Mind Electric, including the reverse (I spend a lot of time listening to the reverse from the original album and your rendition captures everything that makes it go hard incredibly well, maybe even improving on it). And dear lord. The main song is just... chefs kiss. Everything about it makes me want to pump my fists in the air. And the Mind of Simon Demo bit at the end??? You didn't have to, but you did. Thank you. Wow wow wow. -I'm very fond of Labyrinth and I think this track translated perfectly. It goes hard, it had me bopping my head, and is overall super fun yet melancholic like the original, even adding a special little spark that might have been missing. -The ending of Dream Sweet in Sea Major. All of it. I. Really liked this. In case you couldn't tell. LOL. Keep up the good work!

Thank you!! i really appreciate the detail you gave :D. also if it wasnt clear by the channel name i quite like black rainbows but i wanted to do a slight spin on my cover of it to make it a little more interesting (to me). Also I assume by the changes in Murders you mean the harp, which was a very spur of the moment idea that turned out cool. TME was very very fun to make (_especially_ that demo part). I was worried labyrinth wouldnt translate well to the instrumental style i did but i think it turned out ok and im glad you liked it! Anyway, i will be trying to keep up the good work indeed! (after a little break probably, i just finished a whole nother cover album so we'll see how things go from here).

I like that this is a cover without vocals. I remember listening to another hawaii cover (galactic lullabies?) it's no longer on youtube to my knowledge but it did have vocals and some of the tracks were arguably worse off for it

oh yeah, it was Hawaii: Part II: Part III, and it hasnt been taken down but i know galactic lullabies left a reply on one of the comments saying theyre not that happy with it with the hindsight of a couple years. still it was a big inspiration for starting this cover album in the first place anyway so credit where credits due lol. their original album they made more recently was pretty alright if i remember tho in comparison. anyway yeah i dont sing anyway so eh it all works out i guess lol

Sooo, I was randomly recommended this video and OHMYGOSH I LOVE THIS THANK YOU SM ASHGSGAHGFSGAHGSHA I've had this book idea that's been cooking in my brain since December and wrote most of the character profiles, the summary, prologue, but never actually started on the first chapter. Then when I found this, the second Introduction to the Snow started playing, I randomly got this burst of motivation and finally started the first chapter of my book idea.
