Yes Indeed I remember that part of the Southside of Youngstown Ohio. I was born and raised in the Yo.

Thank you. I lived in Youngstown from the late 40's until '57. My grandmothers lived here. My father's parents immigrated from Scotland in 1895 and eventually settled in Youngstown. My grandfather worked in the mill. Youngstown is "home" to me even after all these years. Thanks for walking around. A lot of memories. Things have changed a lot. I went to Monroe School, Sheridan School and Princeton before we moved to Cleveland.

When I was a kid my mom was an RN at Southside until 1998. So many fond childhood memories of that building, so many hours spent exploring all the secret passageways. That building, along with my old elementary school Roosevelt in Hubbard, ignited my lifelong interest in architecture

Youngstown is a messed up town theres nothing here anymore its ghosty all the houses are torn down . Businesses come & go .... the vindicator even left thats pretty messed up . Its beyond me why ppl stay here . Cause its a cheap place to live oh plz thats insanity ... the rich can live every where or any where in the world and they choose to live here in Ohio . 😊 thats crazy its a dark , cloudy rainy town .

My great aunt and uncle lived on Carol St right next to the substation up to the mid 80's. I really enjoyed the stroll down memory lane. And "yes I will"

Very fine and enjoyable video (that goes for all your vids). It is no easy task to conduct a 60+ minute narration. Also, it was nice to see you pay tribute to Atty. Clarence Robinson. He was a man ahead of his time, and all of us Y-towners should be proud of his many contributions to our community.

I used to walk to St. Patrick’s school from my house (torn down) on Dewey. Oak Hill does look cleaner but a lot of history is gone.

I remember being in an elevator in city hall in 1992. Next to me inside the elevator was a little old lady that was upset for some reason and in walks the mayor Patrick Ungaro and two very upset Germans. I understand German fluently. Audi and BMW were coming together to purchase land along the river from to build cars. They were leaving because the mayor wanted 10 million dollars donated to his mayorial campaign. Good job pat I guess. Fruits of the poisonous tree.
